The white-hot pairing of Einzelkind and Giuliano Lomonte is really starting to bear some seriously sweet fruit and their upcoming outing on Curtea Veche to celebrate the labels 10th release is also a 10” record with one of the most eye-catching splatter vinyl/artwork combo’s out there.
With previous output from the label in its limited incarnation from Nu Zau and previous to that the main label played host to a fine release from Silat Beksi & Daniel Broesecke, the quality of releases (and artwork I might add) is there for all to see.
The track in question that has us most interested is Bee 1 cut ‘This N That’ a light, airy groover with plenty of thump to be found in the kick region. A high pitched looped string and pad combo swings around a snappy drum pattern which doesn’t deviate too far from the plan. Simplicity is the key here as the upbeat bassline also doesn’t stray too far from the groove either. The only elements at play here to carry the track in a slightly different direction is the ethereal female vocal that dips in and out of the mix. This a great example of groovey minimal music made for the morning hours at the likes of Sunwaves and you can bet this one will get more than a few plays under the arches in a few weeks’ time.
When this one is released on April 30th you can get your copy from Juno.co.uk and Deejay.de.
