Positive Not Happy label from Milan is ready with its fourth release and for the first time it won’t be dedicated to The Lumens in full. Yes, they had other names earlier too, but all of them were remixers. This time we’re having four tracks from four different producers. And we’re starting with TC80.
His “Tribe” on A2 tells us everything by its name. We have to expect some drums masterpiece – and here it is. From the very beginning. A bit later it turns into some bassline masterpiece too, but that slow tribalistic base is not going anywhere. From the middle of the track these two lines are starting to communicate between themselves and we’re having one complex piece here.
The next interesting name here is Dawl and his “Alpha Radiation”. Knowing some of his other works I expected something bleepy and acidic here. And here you go – a bleepy, acidic and melodic piece, one of his most housey works (if you can say that). The record starts with Modex’s “Savent’s Layer” – a combination of broken beats and peaktime energy. Finally, The Lumens. I would say, that “Afrodeise” is the calmest track on the record, but even with that characteristic, I wouldn’t let you sleep on it. Especially in its second part.
The record is already starting to run into some pre-orders, so you better run to Viniil, Juno, Deejay or wherever you’re buying your wax and grab it fast.
