Rich NxT jumps on fiery remix duties for the tenth release of the Italian label Futura.
LEON‘s Futura imprint continues a prolific streak of form in the digital realms, pushing slick tech-house from the likes of Ben Balance, Josh Baker and Priku establishing the label’s identity. Energies are fruity and sleek, whilst tailored towards the bigger room gigs with monstrous basslines and cheeky hooks dying for a huge sound system.
The Italian label founder LEON is a regular at the likes of Marco Carola’s MUSIC ON, as well as playing regularly with the likes of Jamie Jones and Lauren Lo Sung in a busy tour schedule.
Fellow Italian producer Andrew Soul steps up for the label’s tenth EP with a spicy acid banger loaded with attitude. Spinning a menacing acid line over 808 beats that are frothing with energy, taking influence from electro and breaks, whilst nodding to ghetto-house with a confident vocal slapped over the beats.
Remix treatment comes from two producers in very different corners of club culture. Prolific Uruyuan producer Luis Malon propels the menacing and ferocious vibe in his snappy reshape, taking acid notes from the original and giving it the apocalyptic treatment the crew of innovative South American producers do so well.
On the other hand we get a shot of UK flavour from long time FUSE resident and workhorse producer Rich NxT. The London artist has been a frequent face on the house and minimal scenes for many years through his extension work with FUSE and INFUSE, as well as his own label NxT Records.
Sounds steer towards a much more tech-house palate, wrapping the original’s vocal into a slippery, moreish 4/4 rhythm loaded with the same peak time dance floor energy to conclude this digital release. Percussion is packed with swing and intricate details, crafting a punchy, driving beat that is sure to lift the energy in a set.
Three unique aims at a spicy club banger provide the option for a variety of scenes in this intriguing release sure to be picked up by a number of selectors from opposing circles of clubland.
