Keepitgoing. rendezvous with Futura in Tulum for their first joint Mexican adventure

Since 2020 talent agency Keepitgoing. have been locking down Switzerland with their finely produced parties. Previous editions have in the past included Dorian Paic and Alexis Cabrera, but now they are levelling up considerably and for the occasion they have hookedup with imprint and event series FUTURA. Headed up by Italian star Leon the imprint is currently responsible for a bit of a renaissance within underground music circles. The premise is an easy one but often hard to actually to execute and FUTURA has a firm focus on coupling certified artists with new blood that making waves in their respective scene.

We have tracked the development of this imprint since the very beginning and the vision of FUTURA dovetails perfectly with the big plans that Keepitgoing. have been nurturing. With their open, no borders approach to their events the prospect that this presents is nothing short of mouth-watering. The first event in what will hopefully become a series of parties will be taking place at the stunning Mia Beach Club in Tulum on Sunday, January 30th. This special dual location shindig is a far cry from the urban trips enjoyed in Europe at this time of the year and of course there will be an unreal selection of artists making the trip to Mexico. By day the sounds will be provided at the lush beach front venue where the sunkissed rave will flow into a night session in the mysterious depths of the Tulum jungle. When we say a sonic adventure we really mean it.

Right at the top of the bill is a very rare double act that has its roots in the electronic music performance festival Mutek. Singularly both these artists are a force of nature but combined make for an earth moving experience. The first part of this mind boggling double act is Canadian Mathew Jonson and we are all very familiar with what he is capable of when in command of his legion of machines. The second is none other than Chilean legend Dandy Jack and his discography is littered with, but not limited to, releases on Perlon and of course Ruta 5 alongside Sonja Moonear. As I am sure you will agree that is a quite excellent introduction to the musical trip.

As this will be the first of a series of events with FUTURA it is only right that label boss Leon is in attendance behind the decks and of course his tough grooving style will be well received. Also, joining the party and continuing the Latin connection will be Franco Cinelli and his regular and recent outing alongside fellow compatriot Ricardo Villalobos will ensure that there is a certain flair added to proceedings. As well as his own consistent solo release schedule Franco is slated to be a part of the first vinyl only release from Keepitgoing. by way of one of his standardly sterling remixes works on ‘Panorama’ EP which is on its way this year.

Keeping the local flavour there will be sets from Mexican artists Mike.D and Audionik Ltd vinyl only label owner and Sonoma. With the former shining on his recent ‘Mente Trascendente’ EP for Futura towards the tail end of 2021 there is little doubting Mike.D’s quality. Sonoma who is responsible for flying the Mexican flag within the minimal community certainly knows a thing or two about the regions love of this sound. Keepitgoing. is working on some serious plans for the coming months and years and their partnership with Leon and his Futura brand on this first event is a step towards a truly game changing relationship.
