Honduras-born, El Salvador-based artist Adrian Alessandro is next to present on our Free Download series. A regular at South American gatherings Trotamundo, Lattice Festival, NT Festival, Tidal Festival, as well as being a force to be reckoned with on his own turf. After our last visit to El Salvador where we linked up with Lost in the Jungle for a Trommel showcase, we were so impressed with Adrian’s style that we could not wait to present work from one half of Powder Rangers.
With this in mind, we now deliver “La Verdad” from Adrian Alessandro for our Free Download series. Fire-breathing from the very beginning, Adrian rolls out with detuned bass tones capable of troubling most big sound systems. Rib-cracking snares are soon added to the mix alongside howling synth stabs, but it is not until around the midway point in the track that the emotive elements truly unfurl. Charged particles of synths and percussion result in a high-energy closing to “La Verdad” and signal the rising of another South American artist worthy of adding to your list.
