The very long-awaited, tenth release of iO (Mulen)’s Blackloops label is finally in the stores. Probably, the most massive release on the label ever, that has been carefully fed to very close friends and family for around a year. We just can’t be happier about it.
This one, despite the usual name of DiSKOP, is a collaboration between iO (Mulen) and Pan4ez, a Ukrainian UKG and 2-step wizard. This is not the first time for the label to put somebody else under that name, but until iO (Mulen) won’t share all the guest appearances there, we won’t either.
So, “Da Hooly”, a speed garage banger for the end of times. You can literally smell all the upcoming trouble here after the very first second. I won’t tell you anything about the main theme here, I will just nod, that all that buzzing is working perfectly with the Meet Her At Love Parade vibe. Speed garage edits are not very frequent guests in our premieres section, but, hell, don’t you want to play this beauty after listening?
Another one, if the first track is too much for you, is “Sharp Shooter”. This one is not that straightforward, despite another well-known tune, that is hidden inside. But all that old school speed garage flavors are also present here.
I definitely love that era of Blackloops, I must say. If you also feel all those wobbles and 4/4s – Juno, Deejay, Decks or wherever you’re buying your wax. As usual.
