After the Swiss club returned to business last month the club’s regular parties have picked up where they left off pre-COVID-19 by welcoming the likes of Luciano, Priku, Fabrizio Sala, and Alci. The talented resident DJs have also been given center stage from which to shine and this will most definitely continue with the upcoming events that will surely position Supermarket as one of the leading venues in underground electronic music.
Particular will be the first party of this fine run of parties and they will be opening their doors on Saturday, July 25th for a day time event that will include sets from Guti (live), Zefzeed, Gianni Callipari and club resident Flavio.
The very next day will see a special Sunday edition of under the tree and for this day time event, they will be welcoming Romanian star Emi. Having massively impressed back in January when he performed alongside Amorf and Sublee it was only a matter of time before he was brought in to lead the show. Support will come from longstanding players Sandro Kühne and Romano Corsini.
With barely enough time to clear the decks after the last show-stopping event it is time for the long-awaited Supermarket debut of none than Ricardo Villalobos. Taking place on Thursday, July 30th the Chilean will be starring at the Zurich club for Any Ideas? alongside Swiss artist and Supermarket regulars Alci and Flavio.
Rounding out the first round of summer parties is the huge 3rd birthday celebration of Bermuda on Saturday, August 1st. Given that they have welcomed all manner of stars from the minimal world over the last few years this party was always going to be something special. Also, taking place during the daylight hours the club will be welcoming back Switzerland based Chilean artist Luciano as well as Margaret Dygas, The Mountain People, Rogi and Carmine.
It is hard to imagine any of these parties being topped any time soon but it is rumored that Midi Records will be returning to Supermarket and some of the artists that are in the mix for the next few weeks are Rhadoo, Mihigh, Arapu, Raresh, Sepp and Sonja Moonear. With COVID-19 meaning that events are significantly paired back and backed by comprehensive safety measures Supermarket are taking bold steps to position themselves as one of the world’s go-to venues and with fearless programming like this long may it continue.
