The latest names to join the line up at this year’s edition of Waking Life have now been announced. Another 30 names have been added to a growing program as part of a third wave of artists to descend on the Portuguese festival. And that’s not even the last, with the full line up expected to drop later this month. For now, let’s take a look at who else has been confirmed in this already superb selection.
Both live acts and DJ sets continue to be catered for, across a span of genres. Producers set to bring their own signature blend include dance music icon A Guy Called Gerald, a man renowned for chunky, funk-fueled techno and house. Harder shades of techno and trance are also covered, whilst festival favourite map.ache is back with the floatier feels.
Bringing along the extensive back catalogues will be Romanian maestro Rhadoo, who joins the minimal cohort. Magda returns with her much loved blend of the bleeps and Cormac is set to infuse energies across the spectrum of house. This remains a snapshot of what can be seen at this eclectic event, covering all the styles you could want. All under the blanket of a 24 hour music policy.
Another announcement this week follows the introduction of subsidised tickets to those who need it most. For a limited time until 15th March, applications are being welcomed from people facing difficult financial situations. Extra tickets are also being offered to anyone with a disability, so they may bring one person along to assist. The Waking Life team continue to champion accessibility for its attendees. As ever, its community is at the very heart of it all.
