Like their contemporaries since they launched ten years ago they have really helped to shape the minimal scenery. Providing a home from home for a wide range of artists from the Romanian legion to the far reaches of the underground. As well as providing the Dutch community with some the best parties VBX have grown to become a barometer of electronic quality around the world. Form the very beginning VBX has always been about family and one its founding members Ferro has been pivotal in gathering together his close ties with the minimal community way before VBX hosted their first events.
Another longstanding member of the VBX family is Reiss and his connection to the brand runs deeper than most. He has forged lifelong partnerships with Ferro as Spokenn and all of the visiting family members that visit each VBX party. It is these strong family bonds that have meant that the brand has gone from strength to strength. To celebrate such a milestone the Dutch tech masters will be hosting three separate parties in three different venues across the weekend of 18th and 19th March.
As you might have guessed and come to expect, these parties will be featuring only the finest artists from the extended VBX family. Starting in the afternoon of Saturday, March 18th at one of the most visually and sonically stunning venues in Europe – The Loft. Being a constant source of buzz and excitement, the roof to ceiling windows act as a jaw dropping backdrop to madness that will ensue during this party. Taking the reins on the first leg will be firm favourite Voigtmann, Malika and Reiss will be playing b2b with Praslea and who better to provide those afternoon high energy tracks to start the journey off right.
The next stop on this trip around Amsterdam is a night time session at one of Europe’s finest warehouse venue in Lofi. Having been front and center for the VBX x Sunrise party during ADE ’22 there is a very large treat awaiting. The main course of this 3-course meal will have plenty to chew on as each artist is bigger than the last. Hard to know where to begin so let’s being with Zip. What else needs to be said other than that? Following is more heat in the form of Ion Ludwig, Christian AB and finally Francesco Del Garda.
The final leg will take place where else but BRET. The quintessential Amsterdam afterhours location. Always producing an electric atmosphere thanks to its limited capacity and windows that invite just the right amount of sunlight onto the packed-out dancefloor. The Sunday session to celebrate their 10 anniversary will be taken care of by the new breed of selectors and having proved themselves at many previous VBX soirees before, the last part to this music journey is in safe hands. Makcim, Junki Inoue, Frank Haag, Doudou MD and Alexia Glensy will all be bringing their A-game and with it some the most treasured record bags around.
