Both VBX and Planet Pleasure share a prize position in their corners of club culture. Throwing memorable parties in their respective cities, Amsterdam and Berlin, the two come together to celebrate 10 years of VBX’s marvellous existence.
A decade in dance music is no easy feat and the celebrations are rightfully extravagant. Heading to the impressive R.S.O venue, VBX x Planet Pleasure will set up camp for 14 hours in the German capital. Honouring both sunset and sunrise, music will flow from 6pm right through until 8am.
Celebrating in true birthday style, the curation invites a number of Europe’s most love selectors in DJ Masda, Evan Baggs and Slow Life’s Laurine. These three artists have been central to the evolution of contemporary club culture, pressing music on vinyl, striving for optimal sound conditions and fusing genres like never before.
DJ Masda and his Cabaret Recordings imprint have contributed immensely over the years with the tastemaking releases and his jaw-dropping selections as a DJ. Similar with Evan Baggs and his notoriously raucous sounds, the New York-come-Berlin legend has been in the thick of it for many years working closely with the likes of Binh and Nicolas Lutz.
Without forgetting the beloved Slow Life crew who also recently celebrated 10 years in the game, Laurine brings her zesty house music to the birthday bonanza.
As with any good party, the backbone of their identity comes from top-tier resident DJs. Ferro and Reiss are the cogs behind VBX, refining the honourable craft of warming up and closing down countless occasions.
This workhorse mentality has seen VBX evolve graciously as a brand, eventually inviting legends of the game in Ricardo Villalobos, Margaret Dygas and Zip to spin at their showcases.
