Berlin based gathering UP Festival is a well-established name in the world underground movement. The fact that there have not been the right circumstances for an event since 2019 is a crying shame. That all appears to be changing as the collective have been working hard behind the scenes to rebrand and bring a new series of one night events that will aim to whet the appetite in advance of the main festival hopefully returning in 2022.
Followers of UP will know all too well just how on point their musical programming is and will have come to expect only the best. That is exactly what is in store when UP take over Bulgarian venue Micro Club on Friday, December 3rd and Sofia will have one hell of a party on their hands when they do.
Right at the top of the bill is none other than Swiss queen Sonja Moonear, her captivating stage presence and unmissable musical selections make one of the most prized bookings on the circuit. Incredibly that is only the beginning as also taking part in the stellar line up is Greek wizard John Dimas. Whether he is flying solo or riding as part of hot duo VOIGT.MAS the Elephant Moon boss has bags and bags full of the best bangers.
Selector extraordinaire Amir Javasoul on any other night would be a headliner in his own right, and rightly so, however UP have crafted an exceptional trip to be a part of. Joining this band of taste makers will be none other than UP founder and resident artist Bruno Curtis. Based in Berlin, Bruno’s sets feature on the biggest of stages and most intimate of parties, either way he rocks them all the same. Adding the Bulgarian flavour will be Laylla Dane, an artist based on the world circuit that is a deft pair of hands in most circumstances.
