Outdom Records is a fresh record label and event series making moves in Paris.
Launching onto the circuit with a couple of Bandcamp bangers earlier this year, the crew grew into a reliable source for sleek and raw house flavours. Their previous events have welcomed a unique range of selectors like Z@p, Youandewan and Dawidu, pushing a fresh approach to event curation and tastes in the house fringes.
Saturday, 7th October will mark their next showcase at the impressive Cabaret Sauvage venue. Tucked into the suburbs of Paris, the serene space hosts a wooden dance floor and carved pillars creating a unique atmosphere.
Spinning from 11pm-5am, the evening welcomes a pair of the most sought-after record bags in the game via the tastemaking duo, The Ghost. The British friends are always full of surprises, shifting through pacey 90s house and garage bangers alongside sleek new productions from their extended crew in the likes of DJ Pipe, Taslo and Midge Thompson. Booked for the peak time slot, you can be sure to hear some mesmeric dance music from a pair of seasoned selectors and devoted diggers.
Joining them is the co-founder of RA+RE, Ethel. The French selector has shaped her craft within a strong community of artists regularly spinning at the famous Cafe Barge in Paris. Weaving between fresh, menacing jams and old bleepy weapons, Ethel’s sets are infectious and I’m sure she’s managing to slip in her own productions that are slowly seeping out.
Outdom Records is the product of Latent and Retrolog, merging their tastes to bring something fresh to the circuit. Both co-founders and residents will close the evening after The Ghost, from 4-6am.
Check out the label’s first two Bandcamp releases, inviting close friends of the label including JUAAN and Marc Cotterell, as well as tracks from the founders.
