Parisian label Outdom Records continue their event series in full force this weekend.
The collective have quickly made a name for themselves in the French capital, thanks to some tasty tracks on their digital platform and a well-received party plan.
Each event brings a fresh take on the dance, as the crew move between some of the better-known venues in the city, bringing a new vision to every edition. From the realms of Cabernet Sauvage, to La Merbrerie and the Peniche Cinema, it seems the versatile crew can make any space their own.
The latest is Dock B, a cafe turned event space offering an intimate setting with a daytime license, that promises to keep the records spinning for the best part of 12 hours. Right into the night.
A bunch of artists are invited down to this one, with Berlin based Englishman KRN topping the list. The diligent digger is an integral part of The Ghost crew, he himself serving up the very first GHOSTCAST six years previous. His collection spans across musical boundaries and you know it’s going to move in several directions when he plays.
Hicham is in toe, fresh off the back of a tour over in South America. Another vinyl spinner with a busy schedule, who can usually be found darting across venues of Europe week in week out.
Airfunk architect Maxime DB follows suit, armed with more wax of electro fused, spacious basslines. This is an artist well etched into the Parisian scene blurring the lines between electronic genres with an emphasis on the energy.
Another recognisable artist who can often be found playing amongst purveyors of the fresh sounds of French house is Cess. He makes up a solid selection, with Outdom Records’ own Latent bringing up the rear. With nearly 12 hours of music scheduled this is sure to be a whole day of finely tuned beats.
Complimentary to the music, Leslibellule will be on VJ duties, lending craft from her usual residency at BinarySound. This talented artist is well versed in matching the grooves of electronic with visual counterpart, promising a sweet sensory experience between the music and beyond.
