Taking their place in the French party community some time ago promoters Nautilus Music have been helping to keep the French underground afloat with great solo parties, but for their next event they will be linking up with Rmmt – Roommates. In the past events from Nautilus have featured a deep dive into minimal culture with sets from Cezar, Dubtil and Arapu but their next party on Thursday, October 14th at Badaboum there will be a distinctly different tact.
The joint event series from these two visionaries will of course feature the most in demand artists but the main aspect of the party will ring true with the project title – Ping Pong. Two legends of our scene will trade tracks back and forth and for their first party they have enlisted none other than Evan Baggs and Christian AB. Both of these artists are well placed in a special corner of the “minimal” scene where their sound can be stripped back to its groovey fundamentals or dialled up to be as maximal as needed. As long as it blows up the dancefloor both Evan and Christian have plenty of tracks to leave any floor wondering just where on earth that they find these bomb tracks.
Continuing the B2B mode will be the hot pairing of Rmmt – Roommate residents Lawis and Tiano. Singularly they are both in top demand within the Parisian party scene. Regularly called upon to detonate dance floor around the French capital and further afield they will be certainly not be taking a chilled approach to their supporting set. Rounding out a fine opening salvo for Ping Pong will be Nautilus resident Viktor Zer. The aquatic crew member is seldom seen without a banger record in his hand and this first event is a clear signal of things to come from the co-promotion.
