Since their inception in 2023, Manchester-based label and collective Movere has become a relevant player in the local minimal music scene with their well-curated parties and carefully selected artists. Now the time has come for them to take things a step forward. While their events have until recently focused mainly on local UK talent, this year they’ve decided to spice things up and bring in Ukrainian icon Olga Korol for her debut in Joshua Brooks, headlining an all-female lineup on March 7th in celebration of International Women’s Day.
Known for her immersive and intricately crafted sets that seamlessly blend precise textures with pulsating rhythms, the night’s headliner will surely deliver a set that will keep you glued to the dance floor. With a remarkable background of over 20 years of musical exploration and playing at venues such as Berlin’s iconic Hoppetosse and Ukrainian resistance icon Closer in Kyiv, Olga Korol is no stranger to the stage, and neither is the stage to her.
Joining her for this celebration of female empowerment are local rising stars Simone Ellis and Karen Lopez, two rominimal and deep tech enthusiasts who are quickly gaining recognition for their elaborate and hypnotic sound. The lineup wouldn’t be complete without the Movere’s resident DJs, who will be providing some proper electrifying sets to elevate the night.
“With limited capacity and a music-focused ethos, this is more than just an event, it is a tribute to the women shaping the underground scene”.
Hosting the event is Joshua Brooks, a multi-purpose venue in the heart of Manchester that will provide the proper setting for this musical affair, being equipped with Void Acoustics sound system that will go just hand-in-hand with the old-school industrial-like atmosphere of the location.
To make things even better, Movere has prepared some pretty nice discounts and offers for the tickets, especially for the ladies, but hurry up as they’re selling like fresh bread.
