London promoters get creative with a slew of upcoming social distanced events

Despite the lack of government help and total uncertainty that surrounds our beloved industry, we refuse to waste any time here discussing the bad side of the current situation. Instead, we are here to spread the news of the return of events to London and over the next few weeks, there is plenty to get excited about. Sure, they will all be seated and there will be enhanced safety measures in place but we will be able to catch some of our favourite local artists and some international guests that have been flown in for the occasion.

Starting in earnest on Saturday, October 9th is one of London’s most favoured pubs The Lion & Lamb. This audiophile favourite watering hole has a great program of events lined up this month (and following months) and bringing the bomb beats will be NorthSouth co-founder Harry McCanna. His raucous sets border a sweet spot fusion of underground house, techno, garage and indeed anything bassy that makes you shake in your seat.

The next day (and night) The Lion & Lamb will be again shelled with an outrageous selection of music, this time behind the decks is one of London’s favourite sons Voigtmann. The Subsequent boss has been keeping himself extremely busy over the down months and is ready to return to the fray with a bag jam-packed full of the hottest tracks. Der V Man will be undertaking a day and night long set that will be split into 2 sections, the daypart is already sold out but if you are quick you might be able to bag a table for the night session.

Joining in on the weekend’s fun will DON where they will be celebrating their 4th birthday at The Brixton Courtyard. Helping them blow out the candles on their socially distanced cake will be Fuse mainstay Rich NxT. The Source co-boss will also be joined by DON regulars UN.CO, Jake Adams, and Harrison Tucker.

Elsewhere this same day and Jane Fitz will be bringing one of her fabled extended sets to one of London’s tidiest terraces for an all-day-long journey at Night Tales. Her selections bristle with the sheer diggery that few can match and the surroundings will be a great pairing to her unrivalled picks. If you didn’t manage to get your hands on a ticket the party doesn’t stop there as Jane will be back the following day with her long-term partner Jade Seatle for a daylight adventure on the Night Tale terrace.

The following weekend at The Cause is dedicated to one of the venue’s true heroes. So, there will be two chances to catch him action and experience all the bloody, sweat and tears that has poured into making The Cause what it is.

The Lion & Lamb will again be throwing its doors open on Saturday, October 17th to welcome the very best selectors in the business and that will be more than taken care of by Picnic and their day and night party with Truly Madly. Having recently thrown one hell of a party in a secluded wood on the outskirts of town Picnic could not have chosen a better artist for their first town-based foray than the Mindhelmet boss.

This will be an almighty day-long party with founder Bobby. and Mariiin in control of the daylight hours and then they will be joined by Francesca and N-Gynn for the evening time session. Just because there are restrictions in place there is no reason that we can’t have fun and loud music. Just remember and protect yourself as much as you possibly can and also….enjoy yourself.
