Dance or Nothing (DON) have for some time now been bringing top flight artists to Leeds and many have had their debut in the minimal friendly city. Together Harrison Tucker and Benjamin Jordon have produced events at some of the city’s finest venues and they are about to embark on their spring program of events.
In keeping with their ethos of delivering new and exciting bookings to the city of Leeds the DON team have been working overtime to curate a program full of debuts and they have not disappointed. Catering for the deeper end of the minimal and tech house spectrum they will be beginning their run of parties on Friday, March 25th at Leeds institution Distrikt Bar. Making their Leeds debut will be Kirik and Direkt, two artists that over the years have had successful outings on labels such as Crocus, Lilas Records, Curtea Veche, EWax, UVAR, Botanic Minds, Atipic, the list goes on and on. The quality of the music was never in doubt and of course the support will be as strong as ever with Head of Brand and resident Benjamin Jordon on the warm-up dials.
The next event will take place at Leeds’ Freedom Mills locale and the date to put in your diary is Thursday, April 14th. With Good Friday putting paid to the hang over from hell what better way to celebrate Easter than with Techu & Constratti. As well as these two artists making their Leeds debut they will also be playing in the UK for the first time. Support on the night will come via Benjamin Jordon, Magnetic residents Owen & Mitch, Jack Batty and fellow resident TomRob.
The final party in DON Events’ spring programme will be with none other than Argentinian maestro Alexis Cabrera. His talents in the studio and commanding his army of machines in the booth is a joy to witness. This magical artist will be performing at Distrikt Bar on Saturday, May 21st and the support sounds will come via DON Soundsystem, George Hall, Holly Why and Un.co. There is little doubt that these series of parties in Leeds cannot be missed.
