It is this intimacy that the new lower floor at SpaceMonki in Zurich that is poised to ensure that Bains & Douche becomes a haven for those seeking this personal clubbing experience.
From a long yet ultimately fruitful brainstorming session between the collective minds of Bains & Douches founders OJ (Andreas Fimpel) and Marco Diener at an intimate Epizode Festival after party comes an exciting intimate clubbing concept. Devised with around 100 passionate music heads in mind, the Bains & Douches event space has been finely curated in order to give those that pass over its blacks and white chequered dancefloor a clubbing experience that they will not forget. Inaugurating this special interactive “bathroom themed” venue is an artist that thrives on creating vibes utilising his intricately woven tapestries of sound.
The attention to details is what gives this room so much character, from interactive “fogged mirrors” to the running shower and the use of bathrobes to frame the projection screen situated behind the DJ this promises to be a truly immersive musical experience. The first artist to guide attendees through the first edition of the weekly Night Wash events on the evening of Saturday, September 21st is none other than Perlon mainstay Thomas Melchior. He will be joined in the bathtub shaped DJ booth by SpaceMonki regulars Christian Schiemann and Atef.
With this event taking place weekly in the subterranean bolt hole a wide-ranging cast of underground heroes are required and coming up there will be an impressive array of artists covering techno, minimal, micro-house and deep tech house. Over the course of the next few months, you can expect to hear the likes of Margaret Dygas, Arno, Alexis Cabrera, Tim Etzel, Ben Balance, and Jorge Savoretti take control of this exciting party location. The prospect of getting up close and personal with these talented artists is just simply mouth-watering, just make sure you are there early as these events are sure to sell-out in double-quick time.
