When it comes to minimal music in Berlin there are few clubs that can hold a candle to Club der Visionaere and Hoppetosse. Featuring an almost daily program of the world’s best label showcases and selectors playing minimal leaning underground music to an intimate and knowledgeable crowd. So, the thought of losing such venues even in these uncertain times is not worth thinking about.
The club itself has been raising funds that will enable them to maintain the venue at its current pace throughout the summer months. The next stage in this process is to raise enough funds to rebuild the club after the devastating fire and ultimately negate any need for closure. To aid in this fundraising process a band of “like-minded entities have joined forces” to produce a non-profit Bandcamp release and the results are exactly what you might expect from a project of this caliber.
The release that hit Bandcamp on Wednesday, August 5th features tracks from TC80 (Sequalog), Giammarco Orsini, Markus Sommer (Pager Records), Felon5 and B.Love (Bizarre Trax), DJ Tjizza (LowMoneyMusicLove), Rub800 (Continually), Jacopo Latini aka Jackie (Taboo Traxx), Tzena (LuckIsOn) and Bakked (Outban) and the whole album has been lovingly mastered by TC80 (TONY.SUPERGFX). The release is designed to, first of all, offer the much-needed support in the form of release sales but also on a personal level from the artists themselves who recognise that CDV and Hoppetosse are two of the most influential venues in the world. By purchasing this release, you can be sure that 100% of proceedings via Bandcamp will go to Club Der Visionaere’s fundraiser cause, and long after the final fundraiser date of August 17th the release will continue to contribute to the club or a chosen charity.
