UK, now Portugal based label Afterhours. has been leveling up and up of late. From their recent buy on sight release “Greasy Grooves” courtesy of Miller and Jay Tripwire, to their last event outing which shutdown Golden Gate in Berlin for a mammoth 18 hour session. They now have their next event firmly in their sights and with bossman Scott, ever the consummate artist has performed alongside the ABC crew before. He now returns to the Romanian enclave and this time he brings with him his label brand for a surefire wicked collab event on Friday, April 5th at Faber.
With Afterhours. regularly collecting together the brightest names from the underground for both the label and event business, the sky’s the limit when it comes to who would be joining for this largely anticipated night. With it being a tie in with ABC, founding member Bread & Butter will be taking his place in the booth alongside Afterhours. mastermind Scott. Between the two they have been responsible for lovingly nurturing the Ro leaning minimal scene both in their respective home scene and abroad in countless others.
As well as these two label mainstays there will also be a performance from Romanian artist Herck. A well known face in the ABC camp and of course the larger minimal scene, this prolific artist is always a sound addition to any party. The connection to Afterhours. may be a little tenuous but having recently remixed the work of Jay Tripwire for VRNT the connection is there all the same. Completing the lineup for this fine meeting of minds is a double act that has quality stamped all over it. The pairing of Charlie and Topper is a rarity in that they seldom perform together but with the last occasion at Glub Guesthouse being recorded for the history books you can check out the magic that these two artists bring to any party.
With the wealth of DJ talent that this lineup simply bursts with, there is another star to be added to this line up and that will undoubtedly be the soundsystem. ABC are renowned for their link to Void Acoustics and with ABC Sound Machine being the official distributor for the esteemed loudspeaker brand the soundwaves are guaranteed to be pristine and packed full of energy.
