For the fourth edition of Alexis Cabrera’s ‘What Makes a Track A Bomb’ the Argentinian artist flexes his musical side. So far Alexis has covered some stonewall classic tracks from Ricardo Villalobos, Soul Capsule, and French legends Cassius, but now it is time for something a little left of center.
All these tracks are undeniable bombs and the next edition is just as much a bomb as the other but for different reasons. Next up is one of our scene’s most talented and wide-ranging artists – Audio Werner. His track ‘Rocket’ which appeared on Finest Hour’s first release and benefits from some outrageous sampling of Oscar Peterson’s musical handy work.
Like all top producers, this is no cut and paste job as Audio Werner cuts and slices with the accuracy and deftness of a brain surgeon and it shows. As always, Alexis unfurls his knowledge like a brightly coloured banner as he lays it down for the camera. If you don’t know the track we won’t spoil the action but it’s special alright.
