Premiere: B1 – Jamahr – Odissea (IZIL Remix) [INV023]

Jamahr joins the Invade Records roster for a four-tracker offering of deep and minimal house cuts.

The latest Invade Records offering sees the Italian duo Jamahr join the Belgian label’s roster with two energetic and groovy house tracks, with additional remixes by label head Ilario Liburni, both under his IZIL alias, and together with Massimo Girardi. With a string of releases on their own label Captea which straddle the tech-house and minimal techno sound seemingly influenced by the Romanian scene, Jamahr appears to be a good fit for Invade Records.

Our premiere pick of the bunch is the B1 cut Odissea (IZIL Remix)”, a deep and heady techno production with a rolling synth bassline, stabs of reverb, and tripped out vocals. It’s a perfect mix for the 5am heads down dancefloor, but with plenty of percussion to keep the energy high and the crowd moving.

The title track itself has more frenetic percussion and undulating synth-lines, utilising the vocal snippet to generate yet more energy, which makes it an altogether ravier affair than the remix on the flipside.

A2 track “Lost and Found” features a prominent lead synth over punchy percussion, which will be sure to get the dancers grooving. In combination with the title track, these offerings by Jamahr will no doubt impress on many a dancefloor.

The other B side track, the Massimo Girardi and Ilario Liburni remix of “Lost & Found” dials down the energy somewhat, employing aquatic dub-techno elements to take the track into deeper territories, before exploding in its second half. It rounds out what is a strong and versatile release for Invade Records, with choices for all dancefloor moments and situations.

The record is available for pre-order at the usual spots: decks.de, Deejay.de, so be sure to pull the trigger on this release before it’s too late.
