Record labels don’t come much fresher than only a month old and Purple Box is the new kid on the block. Managed by Pressology Distribution and Effetto Disclosure, the brains behind the operation are certainly not new to the scene. The former has been around for nearly a decade, with many fingers in many pies across the globe. Purple Box is their latest imprint spanning digital and vinyl. Legit Trip takes on the first record release.
The Moscow artist already has a few strong label names under his belt, having produced beats for Little Helpers and Blind Vision Dubs. His two-track EP comes accompanied by their respective remixes. We’ve taken ‘Dreams’ for the premiere.
The icing on the cake comes from the little piano bars which breathe a welcome element of jazz onto the beat, while the little chopped vinyl sample adds that soulful house feeling.
A combination of flavours make ‘Dreams’ a good one for mixing, warming up a crowd and making people move. ‘En Dehors’ on A2 is a little more chilled whilst the two remixes over on the B side have ramped up the originals to peak time pumpers.
Buy the record at decks.de or Red Eye Records. Expected release date 3rd August.
