Premiere: 1 – Gus Bonani – Kamikaze 14 [KEYRCS030]

Energetic, groovy goodness interjected by hi-tech vocal shots and acid licks that ooze and drip as we share Gus Bonani’s “Kamikaze 14” from his upcoming release on Key Records, marking their 30th digital offering.

With previous releases from Toman, Sidney Charles, Local Dub, PIV records founder Prunk and more, as well as remixes from the likes of Locklead and Laidlaw, all since 2020 – it’s safe to say it has been a busy few years for the good folks over at Key Records.

Operating out of Uruguay, Key was established in 2007 as a party series; they’ve welcomed a wealth of artists to the country, with Archie Hamilton and Apollonia being just a few. The label aspect has also expanded beyond the digital realm with their first vinyl landing late last year, fronted by Jesse Maas featuring remix work from T Jacques. Prolific party people for sure!

Gus Bonani delivers a tasty blend of acid-tinged feel-good tech house that hits in all the right spots, following suit on a stream of tasty releases with Limousine Dream, Musica Lunar and more. The Argentine artist has been going from strength to strength as of late. The release also features remix work from Californian export Madvilla, who gives it a nice twist in his “Spooky Mix”, entertaining the darker aspects of groovy, minimal house – another tasty floor-filling bit from the now London-based artist.

Well worth keeping tabs on the guys over at Key for more quality tuneage and times, we are also most excited to hear more from them on wax too!
