The Italian label Air Trance Communication that had its resurrection earlier this year with the release of remixes on Automatic Flint EP, is ready for the second strike. A heavyweight one, since we have the one and only Francesco Farfa here – the person whom even the great FDG calls his teacher and mentor. The comeback wave of trance and progressive sound allowed him to step in too. And that can’t be bad news.
The release is could be divided into “original” and “remixes” parts. We are looking into the second half of the “remixes” part tonight, where another great Italian – Roberto Manolio sits.
Cutting almost everything “big” and “roomy” from the original “Airship” track, Roberto transforms his one into a very solid piece of modern whatever-house. Fat and squelchy sounds, broken beats (where we need them), perfectly used vocal samples and just a touch of that authentic Farfa vibe we love Francesco for. That’s what we got here.
Another special guest on the record – Domenico Rosa transformed “Keith” into the great slow roller, which, probably will sound equally great on +8 and -8. The original of “Airship” is balancing between house and trance, leaning into the trance side more (of course!). And “Keith” at A1 position is just born for the festivals and huge scenes. Very euphoric seven minutes, must say.
ATC005 is ready and waiting for your pre-orders at Deejay, Decks, Viniil or wherever you’re buying your wax.
