Well, Quirk has done it again. Their previous release featuring the dynamic duo of Trent Voyage and Elena Moroder turned into one of the loveliest tracks of last summer, as I mentioned in our premieres section, you can check it here. And now, they’ve outdone themselves!
Yes, I’m talking about “Aquamarine” – hands down the sexiest track of 2024 so far (and I’ll be amazed if anyone comes up with something better). The combination of Elena’s voice, their whispering, that tribal groove, and that almost melancholic melody… I’m speechless. I must admit, the first time I heard the track (with a little nudge from Alexander Skancke), it was one of the year’s best musical moments. Period.
And you know what? That’s not the only gem here. Because B1, “Celestial Causeway,” produced solely by Trent Voyage, would have been picked for premiere 99 times out of 100. It’s a perfect summer track with its long, rolling melody and groove (think “The GB Track” by Lazare Hoche and S.A.M., but even more summery). And there’s more! There’s another example of Elena’s voice in “Luna Marte,” and a perfect closing track called “Maybe It Was,” this time with Trent Voyage on vocals.
This record is too good. Too good to miss. Juno, Deejay, hhv – I’m done with words here.
