You should be familiar with LVCA and Marlon duo at least from their appearance on Ba Dum Tish’s Sock It To Me label. Now they are starting the story of Proper Grub label. And we are witnessing it.
“On The Metro” EP starts with our “Kaleidoscope” track. Literally, the first one on the label. A very bouncy tune, with that amount of fun you always love to hear on the dancefloor. Some organ chords, some wacky voice samples, a little pinch of acid. What’s not to like here, right?
“Metro”, the follow-up of our premiere is a bit laid back one. Some modern take on the old school garage melodies, a bit remade, of course. Should be perfect for the beginning of the end of your set. “27th Of December” is another banger with that retrofuturistic feel here. My second favorite one here. And the record is closing with something that could be considered a “tool”. “Xtra Spice”, a flat, calm, crispy banger. Will probably fit anything.
