A solid collaboration of local collectives have joined forces to launch a new event at a secret location in Quito. Router Music, Soulvision, Soldineri and Inerti are teaming up to create this special soiree, with Ildec and LVCA making the trip to the Ecuadorian capital, all the way from Europe.
This isn’t the first time these crews have crossed paths. With deep roots in the scene, they’ve each played key roles in helping to shape Quito’s rich underground. Whether that’s been through involvement in Trotamundo festival, which celebrated its second edition at the start of this year, or regular sessions at the legendary Lost Beach Club. Between them, they know how to deliver the dance.
Freq Out is their latest collaboration, set to take place on Friday 16th May in the lush surroundings of Tumbaco. The session kicks off early from 8pm and runs deep into the night. Local residents Santii (Router Music) and Quims (Inerti/Soulvision) are on warm-up duties – trusted selectors who can often be found playing at events in the area.
Ildec is up next, known for his refined selections and deep crates, having been steadily rising across renowned dance floors of Europe. His groove-driven sets blend house into stripped-back minimal, a vinyl aficionado who will no doubt serve up an artistry masterclass.
He’ll be joined by LVCA, who will be performing a highly anticipated live set. The modular specialist brings an ode to his own productions, riding the edges between spaced-out house and percussive minimalism. Expect winding, analog-fuelled journeys that evolve in real time.
Together, Freq Out is offering a thoughtful curation that shines the spotlight on both local and international talent. With limited capacity and a loyal crowd behind it, this looks set to be an essential gathering that should be well and truly in the diary.
