Luca Cazal & Josh Baker are the first signings on the new, vinyl-oriented label Back 2 Black by Richy Ahmed. If you’re not excited about that – here you go – Radioactive Man is hiding behind the remix as a very nice addition. But he’s sitting on the flip side. Today we’re talking about the A1. Without him. Just these two.
The name of the track is not hiding anything, actually. “Organ Nuke” can’t be a calm, stripped down track, right? Instead, we are having a nice peaktime stomper with one of the most beautiful basslines of this year. The spacey touch, sponsored by the melody on the background, is spacey enough to not get us bored with all that… spaceyness, you know? And that bassline should kill your sneakers on a good soundsystem, I guess.
Flip side now. “Rocket Ship” is definitely continuing the vibe of our main track. But with a slightly darker touch. It would probably work perfectly just a bit earlier or later than the peaktime. And the edit by Radioactive Man takes us to the electro country here. Not the first thing that comes to mind if you’re thinking about remixing these two, but definitely a perfect choice. Light electro + sometimes even a breakbeat percussion – I don’t think there’s anything better than that, really. Especially, when you got a bit bored of spacey 4/4 tunes.
The record is promised to us at the end of summer, so, if you want to spin it in the hot autumn club nights, you know – Juno, Deejay, Decks or wherever you’re buying your wax.
