“From now on there will be 50 pushups each morning, 50 pull-ups… From now on will be total organization. Every muscle must be tight”. If something just clicked in your head – that’s either because you like Martin Scorcese’s “Taxi Driver” or SE62’s “True Force” (or, maybe both). His signature track, riffs from which were literally sung by the club crowds and scored some outrageous numbers in vinyl sales.
That was almost 10 years ago, in the autumn of 2013, but even before that he was one the first artists from Ukraine that landed on a solid underground label (we’re talking about MLIU, of course). A bit later, as a well-known worldwide artist already, he became a part of the local superheroes from Closer – where he added some sexy garage vibes into their sound palette and shared many of the great moments with them. The first one in mind – SE62’s set on the main stage of Closer during the night of Strichka Festival in 2016 – if you know, you know – probably, his best set and easily one of the greatest that were played in those walls.
During the years, his style has evolved, with additions of anything, that could pair with that garage base. But he’s always had this indisputable love for his roots, and, it seems, has never gone away from them more than on the reaching hand’s distance. Like in this mix, full of love (like there is a place for something else inside the garage house?).
