Peruvian-born, now based in Barcelona, Sebastián has long made the coastal Spanish party hub his second home. This has come via his residency for MAD Radio and later [siku], he is part of a crew that is responsible for some of the city’s most raucous parties. His productions, like his incendiary DJ sets, straddle the realm between techno and electro, and this raw approach has brought Sebastián to the attention of a legion of followers. With a full gig schedule that takes in his home turf, you can also find Sebastián as far a field as Korea, back to North and South America and everywhere in between.
Sebastián perfectly punctuates this musical ethos with his entry into our Free Download series, and “Rise of Steel” hits the nail right on the head. Thunderous kicks and droning bass tones converge on rattling percussion to set the scene for a mysterious slab of electro house that will inevitably shake any room that dares to play host to it. As the track continues to unfold, so too does its ethereal power. As captivating as a locked-in dancefloor, this emotionally charged weapon, this track, should be handled with care.
