Being based between the temperate climes of Mallorca and the Asian melting pot that is Bangkok, UK artist Dojo Zone straddles many borders physically, figuratively, and musically. With releases on respected imprints like Cabaret Recordings, as well as his own labels Planetary Instinct and Espíritu Recordings, his last year has been quite a busy one. He has put out five records, and has enjoyed a packed touring schedule that has taken in the Far East playing in Tokyo, China and Thailand.
To say we are thrilled to have Dojo Zone join our Free Download series is a bit of an understatement. His club ready style is perfectly represented on “Durian Dance” with robust toms, detuned bass tones, and room filling dusty synth stabs all combining to provide the perfect heater for most occasions. Raspy snare rolls and scything hi hats complement the main body of the track perfectly and the result is a deadly weapon that will most definitely inhabit the finest USBs around the world.
