Un_Mute welcome Ricardo Villalobos back after to Miami after a 2 year hiatus

It is hard to comprehend, but by the time Ricardo Villalobos puts the needle on his first record it will be a whole two years since he last graced the decks for Miami’s finest Un_Mute. The minimal talisman has always stirred up a huge storm of emotion whenever his arrival is imminent and his trip across The Pond on December 1st will be absolutely no different.

This rematch is so poetically poised as it will also be taking place in the exact same spot as the last time Ricardo was in town and on the same date. The expansive waterfront 94 Aero Squadron was the site of the last meeting and it will again play host to a historic night of exceptional music from the simply stunning assembled lineup. At the top of the tree is of course Riccy, and he will be playing an extended set which, while is utterly unmissable and there is little that we can say to the contrary. However, the lineup goes deeper than that. Much deeper.

Next on the list is long time compadre and peer Amir Javisoul. The two artists have been inexplicably linked for more than two decades and having been on countless lineups together, collaborated on numerous records the sentiment is not lost here. What makes this party even more special is the fact that the pair collaborated on a recent remix of summer bomb “Barbara” from Ohm Hourani and Un_Mute have been lucky enough to secure all three artists for the same party.

Next up is the unstoppable duo of Hamish and Toby. This pair of likely lads have been truly instrumental in the Euro scene over the past few years, from curating Dimensions, to turning out for only the finest outfits. From VBX and SlapFunk, to S.A.S.H and tINI and the Gang, Hamish and Toby have been clocking up serious airmiles and their constant slew of house hitters and garage slappers mean every set is worth catching.

Another pair of artists that are ascending the ranks with frightening speed is none other than O.Bee and Tomas Station. Quite rightly receiving their dues for all their hard work their star is certainly beginning to shine brightly. Un_Mute resident and the creator of the Riccy artwork that adorns these very pages Max Kraushaar will be lending his undoubted skills behind the decks to this auspicious occasion. Completing the lineup is Rafa of Sons of Immigrants, and with tracks such as their sumptuous Pleasure Zone EP “Planeta SOi” in his locker we are sure he will hit all the right spots throughout his journey.

As with any Un_Mute eventthe stage production and sound is of the utmost importance and it goes without saying that for such an important event such as this the stakes have been scaled up considerably. When it comes to sound, it doesn’t get much better than American born and bred audio outfit Danley and with a long session of mind bending music ahead missing a beat or a mix lost in translation is just not in the program.
