After what was an absolutely massive July for the Miami outfit that included performances from Oshana, Traumer, Thomas Melchior, DJ Masda, and of course Rhadoo it’s hard to imagine it being topped. That’s kinda what Un_Mute do, they take an insane string of parties and then flip the script and head in a different yet ridiculously impressive direction.
Kicking off in earnest on Saturday, August 6th they have back in town the French force of nature Sweely. With tracks on the likes of Automatic Writing, Limousine Dream, and Mulen Records in his locker it is little wonder his sets defy logic. He will be joined at ATV Records by Captain Ridiculous and Will Renuart and there is little doubt in our mind that there will be some very sore feet the next morning from all the dancing.
The next night the Un_Mute groove machine rolls into Boston to link up with friends BSMNT. Guest Momo Trosman will be aided and abetted by Miami hotshots Franco Alexander and Dennis Anderson. Un_Mute will be sure to bring some Miami heat across the Charles where the combined forces of these crews will keep the party going well into the next morning.
The next week a special doubleheader will begin on Friday, August 13th when Un_Mute welcomes the truly unique and skilled selector Clovis back to Miami, performing alongside Roustam. Even a quick scan through his social media posts doesn’t even scratch the surface of this artist’s musical knowledge. Minimal, house, techno, dub, and a million other musical shades await those lucky enough to get down to this night.
Saturday, August 14th, and the hits keep on coming. This time Un_Mute will be hooking up with old pals Alegria where they will be presenting a set from John Dimas. One half of Voigt.mas and one hell of an artist John Dimas will be firing cosmic bombs on the dancefloor from the first minute guaranteed.
Heading towards the business end of the month and there is no sign of shifting down gears. If anything, it is time to turn on the nitrous oxide as they welcome Binh. The Time Passages boss is one of the underground’s most prized names and has made his name on the likes of Perlon, Undersound Recordings, My Own Jupiter, and Cabaret Recordings. Leftfield face-melters and wonky bangers are the name of the game here and take it from us you won’t find a better party this weekend.
Rounding out the month will be a showcase from local hotshots Sports and their five-year anniversary party on Friday, August 27th. Lineup have been announced as we speak and will see the trademark b2b of Christian AB and Quest alongside Kyle Parker, Jacob, Brother Dan, Mikey and Goiz
