Miami based promoter but with a truly worldwide reach, Un_Mute has helped to really shape the landscape of electronic music in the States. On any given weekend the Miami team welcomes a huge range of underground stars to the Sunshine State that includes Perlon showcases, top flight Romanian artists, and regular appearances from Ricardo Villalobos. In recent years Un_Mute have been taking off around the world to hook up with their fellow party starters but this time they will be decamping to Ecuador.
With this in mind, it is time to take things to another level with their next concept – Trotamundo. Taking to the road and heading south to rendezvous in Ecuador with Lost Beach Club to produce a festival where the lush green jungles and crashing waves of Ecuador’s simply stunning Montañita meet. Sitting on Ecuador’s idyllic Santa Elena Peninsula, the seaside village complete with bohemian vibe sounds like the perfect place to start 2024. For four days and nights between January 4th to 8th, this South American discovery means pristine beach living, mouth watering food, and of course some seriously wicked parties, with direct support of Router Music and yours truly Trommel.
Featuring a typically impressive cast of artists, to say that most musical basses are covered is an understatement. There will be an even spread of North and South with US rooted super selectors O.BEE, Taimur, CHKLTE, Danny Daze (D33), and south of the border heroes Momo Trosman, Max Kraushaar, Nicola Cruz, Franco Cincelli, Tomas Station, Mario Liberti, Omar, and top alien Nicolas Lutz. Taking care of the minimal heads will be a team of Romanians that will include Dan Andrei, Cap, Cristi Cons, and Herodot.
Listen up at the back as there will also be DJ Masda, Gene On Earth, Onur Ozer, Quest, tINI, Binh, Dana Ruh, Dyed Soundorom, Maayan Nidam, Unai Trotti, and Traumer. Incredibly this is only the first wave of artists to be announced so far and we can guarantee there will be even more highlights in the next round of names out of the hat.
One of the main aspects of this South American adventure will be to shine a deserved light on Ecuador and South America’s vibrant party scene. By day the sun kissed beach of the surfers paradise will be soundtracked by world class DJ’s, and by night the action will take place across a range of locations that include the spectacular Lost Beach Club. The latter was recently voted as the 25th best club in the world but rarely dips out of the top 30. This pair of certified oasis will play an integral part in the magic of Trotamundo, but there is much more to be revealed in the coming months.
