Earlier this year we announced an almighty collaboration, from across the Atlantic. Two continents come together, bringing the efforts of Miami’s Un_Mute alongside Ecuador’s Lost Beach Club. This extended team matches a worldwide masterclass from the North with a highly revered establishment in the South. A Latin influence on a global scale, bringing the birth of Trotamundo.
Set in the most serene of settings on the shores of Montanita, the festival is already looking like a sure fire way to see in the New Year. The lineup was topped by a huge bunch of favourites and it has just got even more tasty, with the announcement of the second wave.
It started with the likes of Traumer and tINI, Dyed Soundorom, Franco Cinelli, Dana Ruh, Dan Andrei, Mayaan Nidam, Nicolas Lutz and O.BEE and Tomas Station – a pair who are rarely missing from selections worldwide. The list of artists on hand goes on and now, it’s gotten even longer.
Their recent announcement reveals there was plenty more up the Trotamundo sleeve. Artists are coming in from all corners, filling in the blanks at an almighty gathering set across 4 days in early January. Highlights from the recent additions include French veteran Cabanne, a renowned figure on the Parisian scene. Minibar affiliate and Nervmusic Records co-founder Denis Kaznacheev will be flying in from Berlin, next to Sugar Free & Fonte. Sugar Free has been doing the rounds lately with an impeccable selection of deep, gritty basslines, a versatile artist no stranger to sharing the booth.
Also joining is Body Movement boss Robert James, a regular at the Lost Beach club over the years. Felipe Valenzuela brings his own Chilean inspired Latin sounds and Maher Daniel joins as revered resident and party mountain mover behind main festival partner Un_Mute.
As part of this second announcement, Un_mute has revealed its final main support from friends like ReSolute and Sunrise who join the already announced Lost Beach Club, Router, Ricardistas and yours truly Trommel, while global support include many artists from all the corners of the globe and brands such as Animal Crossing, Half Baked, Checkpoint, MAD Radio, ID, ToiToi Musik, Ubiyu and more.
With such a transversal contribution to a unique large-scale gathering, you know you’re in good hands and the result looks almost unimaginable considering it being a debut edition.
