The Pickle Factory is back with a bang, almost six months after they last fired up the sound system. Next weekend, on 14th-15th August, ‘A Weekend At Pickle’ spans two nights and three locations, with their finest residents and closest artists on the bill.
To celebrate being back in action after six of the toughest months the music industry has ever seen, the programme includes two charity live streams at The Pickle Factory on the Friday and Saturday evening, as well as a party on Oval Space’s Terrace between the streams on Saturday afternoon.
Their recently welcomed addition to the London scene, Canvas, will serve as the third location for the weekend. With the live streams on the big screen and drinks flowing from the bar, guests can soak up the sounds from next door at a listening party.
Friday night’s line-up has a distinctly UK flavour, featuring drum and bass legend and one of Metalheadz finest, DJ Storm. Alongside her is DJ Perception, described as South London’s best-kept secret, bringing the UK garage heaters with MC Wizkid. They’ll be joined by REEF boss Darwin, re:ni and Shannen SP.
Saturday’s ‘Pickle on the Terrace’ will feature NTS radio favourite, Peach, as well as Pickle Factory regulars Truly Madly, off the back of his recent launch of his label Mindhelmet, Hamish & Toby and Heels & Souls. Then in the evening for Saturday night’s live stream Truly Madly and Hamish & Toby head over to The Pickle Factory, joined by long-time friends and premium selectors Gwenan and Joe Delon. Headlined by UK legend DMX Krew with a live set, this one will be special viewing with plenty of twists and turns.
All donations on the stream will go directly to Live For Love and the Marcus Intalex Foundation, a charity which supports and nurtures musical talent in young people from marginalised communities. A fitting tribute to Marcus who previously hosted his party Soul:ution at The Pickle Factory.
