Syzygy LDN have been blazing a trail through London’s minimal scene since their first event in March of last year and they haven’t looked back. With a clear mandate to collect the best in the game and program them across the various playgrounds that The Cause has to offer of which there are many.
In the short year since they began operating they have leading names such as Petre Inspirescu, Viceversa, Spokenn, Cabanne and Premiesku are amongst the names that have joined the ranks over the past 12 months. Looking ahead to the next 12 months of parties this exciting time begins with their 1 year anniversary event at their home of The Cause and it’s a biggie.
The main area dubbed CAGE will be a joint venture between Vibe and UVAR and will feature sets from label heads Nu Zau and SEPP. The pair have emerged as a joint force to be reckoned with in the minimal world and the pair launched their label with their joint ‘Aprod de Rug’ EP back in 2013 and haven’t co-released on their label since. They have of course unleashed several key EP’s while in solo mode most notably Nu Zau’s ‘La Rascruce’ long-player in 2018. Joining the pair will be Suciu and Yuda.
Over in the BOX Still Life will be presenting their brand of minimal goodness and this area will be headed up by Salty Nuts boss Fabe. Undoubtedly one of the watershed artists of 2019 Fabe was everywhere, from Caprices to Cocoon, Ibiza to Paris the Mannheim artist had a lot to say and there is much more to come from him in 2020. He will be joined by more rising stars in ODEN & Fatzo Live, Manalou, Mabbam and Reis.
The TENT which will be hosted by the joint forces of Warm Lab and UVAR will feature a set from another otherworldly Romanian duo in COSMJN b2b LIZZ. The pair have traveled far and wide over the past few years and have built up a huge following in the process. As well as the pair being two of the most exciting artists in minimal right now while behind the decks the duo have a lengthy and illustrious rap sheet when it comes to their own releases too and between them, they have hot EP’s on the books of Eastenderz, Atipic, Subtil Records and of course UVAR. Support will come from Nils Weimann, Alex Font and Lissen Two b2b J O T A.
Finally, microminimal will be taking over the bar for the duration of this massive 1st birthday party and will be bringing with them Matje b2b Meaney, Mikhu, Remelie, Cooke and PRS. As you might have expected any party from Syzygy will be huge but a birthday party is a different beast entirely. Expect the venue and all the assembled artists to be firing on all cylinders from the off.
