Following the success of their Supervibe Festival at Terra Janna in Morocco back in 2023, Supervibe has kept things interesting as they go from strength to strength, branching out to not only multiple hotly tipped spots across Morocco but also into Spain, Berlin, London and more recently, Colombia and Mexico.
No strangers to throwing a good party, Supervibe hit back with another stormer as they see German rising star Kolter for his first-ever set in Morocco. Starting out as a series of parties, with the most recent seeing the likes of Tripmastaz, Phil Weeks and more, their contributions to the scene soon took on the form of digital and wax outputs. The vinyl-only releases started out with a slick jazz-infused four-tracker from minimal house maestro and party favourite Alexis Cabrera, more recent releases have seen Tip Tap Records boss Medu and Odille Lima as well as dynamic duo JNJS (Jacobo Saavedra & Jay Nortown), with the likes of Valeria Croft, Supervibe’s Moruki, Filip Szostak and more featuring on the digital series.
With that being said, it comes with little surprise that previous guests include Sakro, Ignacio morales, Diego Krause, Nick Beringer, Voigtmann, Olga Korol, Audio Werner, Traumer, Adil Hiani and more… just in the past year!! With Supervibe residents Memed Awad and Moruki, keeping the vibe super from the off, the pair have been making a name for themselves, having been the constant sound at most every party they’ve thrown.
For this next party at The Source on April 19th, the pair will be joined by Kolter (FKA DJOKO), Ito and Tali. Kolter has been carving a name out for himself through his sets and productions as he shares his refreshing takes on house music, having garnered eyes from across the globe through notable releases on Berg Audio, PIV, and Shall Not Fade as well as his own HOOVE label. Having initially taken the scene by storm under his former alias DJOKO, the Kolter alias has allowed him to capitalise on his knack for eclectic sounds and selections and consolidate that energy into a series of releases under his new moniker. With collaborations with Chris Stussy, another new label of his having launched, “Koltrax”, and more gigs than most, it shows Kolter has no intentions of slowing down, and why on earth would he!?
Expect to hear upcoming sounds of the summer getting road tested as no-doubt many an unreleased tune will be getting aired as this party ushers in the beginning of the warm season for many in the northern hemisphere. Also, you may want to bring your dancing shoes as from what we’ve heard, Kolter and the rest will be bringing some infectiously groovy sounds to say the least.
