Butik Festival return to the stunning valleys of Slovenia in July with a mammoth line-up.
Merging the worlds of minimalist house and techno with disco and everything in-between, the unique curation of the boutique festival brings a refreshing combination of cultures across its four day showcase. Set in a secluded valley, the festival sets up camp in the attractive and well-hidden location just outside the city of Tolmin.
2022 will be for third edition of the festival, bringing in a variety of flavours to the stunning grounds of Soča Valley. Last year’s edition featured sets from the likes of Francesco Del Garda, Michelle and Etapp Kyle alongside a roster of local selectors sculpting the Slovenian tastes.
The first wave of artists announced for this coming July included Russian mainstay Andrey Pushkarev, Dana Ruh and DVS1 to flirt between the borders of house and techno. Thoughtful combinations make up this year’s line-up with over 60 artists heading to Slovenia.
Andrey Pushkarev returns this time together with Roger Gerresson for an extended six hour back-to-back set. DVS1 brings a taste of Berlin’s Berghain alongside Dr. Rubinstein, Roi Perez & Phase Fatale, while Traumer, Dana Ruh and Cinthie bring a versatile house palate.
Evan Baggs is invited to share the decks with longtime collaborator and fellow Berghain affiliate Ryan Elliot. Their back-to-backs have become notorious for going in a number of directions, testament to the pair’s diverse and interesting tastes in music.
Cartulis boss Unai Trotti brings his lean, acid-tinged flavours alongside DJ Masda, killer duo ERIS and Giammarco Orsini bringing a minimal touch. The versatile cross-overs between bookings is a refreshing compliment to the festival market. Merging worlds in the unique format of an immersive four-day event, it’s the perfect opportunity to expand your tastes and discover some new corners and cultures of electronic music.

Besides music, Butik festival also offers a vast variety of local culinary goods and art
installations, adding to the mesmeric nature of the festival experience. While music is definitely the driving force behind Butik, it’s the intimate community of respectful, friendly, and inclusive attendees that really makes this festival one a kind.
