Romanian outfit ABC have always ensured that their events stand out from the crowd, and in Romania where there is a multitude of world beating parties the bar is set extremely high. For the ABC crew, there are many elements that need to be covered, but perhaps one of the main bases to cover is quality of sound. Known for their almost exclusive use of VOID Soundsystems they hold quality of sound above all else. For those that are perhaps not up to speed with ABC and their various releases, this will give you some idea of just how special their events are.
Continuing this long line of top end events ABC will be producing two collaborative events this month. The first of these is a two-part journey that will begin on Saturday, June 17th in Faro, Portugal alongside local heroes Untitled. The first section of this party will be situated high up on the Rooftop Eva, famed for their sunset sessions this outdoor event will be headlined by ABC artist Herck who is a usual suspect amongst these very pages. The Romanian producer will be joined by Untitled duo of Badoga, Figueira, and B.One. Running from sun out to sun down, this joint venture from ABC and Untitled will be the perfect situation to enjoy the stunning views around Faro as well as the finest minimal beats.
The next stage of the Faro adventure will be moving over to Art Haus Club where the lineup is equally as well informed as the day time session. This time around ABC founders Bread & Butter will be headlining and having just produced the latest ABC vinyl release, ABCLTD002 is a timely reminder of their skills. To give proceedings that Untitled flavour regulars Badoga and Figueira will again star. Completing this jaunt around Faro will be Scott, founder and head behind Afterhours., an imprint that is quickly becoming a go to for the more discerning minimal heads and already a home for artists such as VID, Silat Beksi, RQZ, Vlad Arapasu, and Optide & Adar Cohen. Portugal has always been a major player in the underground house and techno scene and Untitled is one of those parties that are simply unmissable.
The second of the two dates for ABC will be another collab, this time with Barcelona based crews DCS4 and El Bassline. Taking place, a week later on Saturday, June 24th at another emerging haven for underground music – Hola Beach Club in Sitges. For this Spanish trip ABC will be represented by Romanians Herck and also Bread & Butter, while Barcelona will be repped by local heroes Triad, Philippe Liard, Bttologic, and Guedes. With the latter being part of DCS4 and El Bassline their deck based credentials are second to none and will be the perfect host for a day to night time session that has become the calling card of Hola Beach Club.
