When something works like a dream, why bother doing anything different? London event series XTD have found their formula and they are sticking to it. Up to now their focus has been fully fledged towards those deep heated, rolling grooves we all recognise in the Romanian flavour of minimal. And as they announce details of their fifth event in the series, it’s clear they have their favourites.
For good reason too. Completing his XTD hat trick is an artist who has been championing the sound since the beginning. Equally as important on his own as his fit into one of the most sought out trio’s on the circuit. A master of the Romaninan clubbing scene and beyond, Rhadoo is returning for another eXTenDed set. And as it stands on the line up, he’s going at it alone. The [a:rpia:r] stalwart brings a back catalogue spanning decades at the heart of a minimal blend. He is one who thrives in this setting, at the helm for long enough to really dig deep. Crafting a journey through moody basslines, hypnotic rhythms and twisted energies. Driven by a desire to transport the mind and for sure in the process, captivating every head in the room.
The finer details of the event remain as minimal as the music it presents and there’s little else hinted from the promoters. Other than the fact that we can expect an all night session from the artist in charge. Last time, he played for a whopping eight hours – it doesn’t get much more extended than that.
