Last month Barcelona event series Output cemented itself as the ‘go to’ day party for underground sounds in the city. Three days worth of packed out schedule made the most of open air complex Diverbosc, nestled in the forest with a giant swimming pool to boot. Collaborations with Kaluki, Limousine, tINI & The Gang and SlapFunk meant some of the finest crews represented for the occasion. The upcoming summer schedule is no different, and the program specifics have now been revealed.
For three months, Output will set up camp once again at its first home, Hola Club. Primely positioned on the coast a little way down from Barcelona, the outdoor venue has unsurprisingly become a destination favourite for the dance. The serene sunset spot comes with a high grade Funktion One sound system, scenic sea views and the most pleasant breeze that a coastal spot could bring. And with acclaimed party starters Input and Les Enfants Brilliants behind the programming, the recipe is complete.
First up is tINI, a firm favourite for the Output crew. For good reason of course. tINI has over the years honed in on a bass fuelled sound that brings the most hedonistic vibes. Pulsating grooves span minimal and electro tinged house, channeled through the helm of her much loved ‘& The Gang’ community. She’ll be joined by Tunik, Ildec and Bruno for an all vinyl affair that comes courtesy of an avid selection of diggers. This one takes place this coming Saturday on 20th July.
Another maestro of the mix takes charge at the beach on 31st August. Seth Troxler is an artist who needs little introduction, well known the world over for a diverse back catalogue of the very best house music. Troxler comes with support from usual suspect Sindicate Del Baile and Barcelona’s own Alex and Hitch.
Season festivities wouldn’t be complete without a trip back to Diverbosc over in Cerdanyola, where Output will return with a more intimate 360 degree experience on 7th September. Another rather large lineup makes this one, featuring Sweely (live), Binh b2b DJ Masda, Evan Baggs, Charlotte and of course, Alex & Hitch.
The summer closing will take place on 21st September and this might just be the biggest celebration of all. French trio Apollonia, who are already well rooted in the Output family thanks to regular appearances at Les Enfants and beyond, will touch down for their first time at Hola. Established artist Javier Caballo brings up the rear, next to a playful b3b between the residents who return once again.
