Having been nurtured through years of exploration and experimentation the Torino based Outcast now present the 4th edition of their large-scale event in the natural beauty of the Vialfrè surroundings. As always there will be the eclectic mix of house, techno, electro and minimal as well as handcrafted unique art pieces and mouth-watering eats, there will be a distinct difference to the 2020 edition.
With last year’s event falling foul of last-minute emergency regulatory changes with regards to security measures this meant that the use of their beloved castle was not possible and so a last-minute venue was required. This would effectively work in Outcast’s favour as they have now retained this venue for the 4th edition which will take place on Saturday, June 6th and will run for 18 hours instead of last year’s 12-hour. In order to tip their collective hat to the previous incarnation of the gathering, the event has been renamed OUT/CASTLE. As with last year’s testing of the format, there will again be an official section of the event that will take place in the park and ensure attendees will be able to connect with the natural elements while enjoying sets from their headline guests.
With OUT/CASTLE featuring a focus on Italian talent, they will again be inviting some of the region’s top party brands and selectors. This edition will see Tenax Club of Florence being invited to showcase just why they are so influential with Cole representing the club. The crew of Veniceberg is currently throwing some of the biggest parties in Italy and in the process are placing the scene as a whole firmly on the map. Similarly, the We Play The Music We Love crew from Turin are inviting some of the world’s biggest artists to their parties and they now present their new artist project Voodos & Taboos take. Elsewhere on the Italian centric section of the line-up is Der from Rome, Franzoh, from Bonfim Club in Genova, and, of course, the beloved resident DJs that need little introduction – Alex Dima, Munir Nadir, and Mamosato.
As well as this fine selection of local artists there will, of course, be a finely curated selection of European’s that have been blowing up parties all over the world. Slotting in nicely beside the Italian connection will be Apollonia member Dyed Soundorom, Melliflow boss lady Alexandra, Slow Life members Laurine & Cecilio and Desyn, part of seekers and Faciendo collectives, will all feature across the 18-hour party. With the music and atmosphere more than taken care of another change from previous editions will also effectively change the face of the event. Where previous events featured art installations and works of art displayed around the event site this element of OUT/CASTLE has now evolved so that every facet of the event area, stage and production will be designed and produced by these artists. This will make for a truly unique and immersive experience that Outcast has always strived for.
