While Nicolas Lutz is categorically no stranger to Barcelona or the OFF Week madness this will incredibly be the first My Own Jupiter showcase to take place during this special time. For the occasion, Lutz will be teaming up with close friend and local promoter Planet UFO and just one look at their previous parties will tell you that this is a finely matched pairing indeed. Previous parties from Planet UFO have involved sets from The Hacker and Helena Hauff, so the analogue naughtiness that Nicolas Lutz and MOJ exude will be just the ticket.
Taking place at one of Barcelona’s premiere electronic haunts Sala Upload on Wednesday, June 14th this rave will be one of the first parties of the week so there will be no excuse for not having fresh legs. As a result of sets from some electro tinged biggest names we are sure there will be rock hard calves all round. Taking pride of place atop of the party is the highly influential American live act Convextion aka E.R.P. Active since the mid 90’s, the reclusive artist is very careful where he releases his music and where he performs, so the chance to catch this legend in action in Barcelona for some time is mouth-watering to say the least.
Joining Nicolas Lutz is another legend in the form of DJ Masda and for anybody that caught him at our own OFF Week party last year at RED58 or at the Alien Communications shindig will attest is god like status. Countless words have been spoken and written about the Cabaret Records boss so we won’t bore you with hyperbole. Being a man of few words, Masda instead lets his music do the talking and the sounds at his command transcend language of any description. Completing what is poised to be a storming OFF Week party is the Planet UFO duo of Kinetic and Ed Warner. We have said it before and we will say it again, OFF Week is one of the most prized times in the clubbing calendar and for those of a more electro persuasion we couldn’t think of a better way to kick off silly week.
