The annual open air event ran by the Leeds’ Mint collective returns to Newsam Park for a huge 2022 edition.
Following their 2021 debut in the new lake-side location, the one day event curates a mammoth bill for the July edition. Taking over the stunning grounds of Temple Newsam on the outskirts of Leeds, Saturday 9th July invites nine headliners across multiple stages, each armed with mammoth Funktion-One sound systems and surrounded by nature.
Trommel favourites Chris Stussy and DJOKO join a huge lineup featuring Chaos in the CBD, Dan Shake and Folamour, as well as a live audio-visual show from Jamie Jones. Minimal stalwart Marco Carolo also features, alongside Jayda G and Mall Grab.
Testament to their longevity within the scene, long-standing residents Annie Errez and Bobby O’Donnell will feature on the day, masters of the art of warm up and closing sets. Leeds’ beloved Sarah Garvey and Reeshy also bring the heat, along with Mint’s curator and long-time record collector Foz.
Sets start at 10am, soaking up a full day of sunshine and exquisite sound running right through until dusk. This is a unique opportunity to experience dance music in a rustic location, powered by the same mighty Funktion-One stacks you see at Dekmantel’s main stage.
After hours are soon to be announced at Mint Warehouse, the beloved Yorkshire venue that celebrated it’s 10th birthday this past weekend.
Leeds’ Mint collective have been central to the electronic scene for decades, regularly inviting the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Zip and Rhadoo to showcase across the city. The now defunct Mint Club was home to many formative years for the likes of The Ghost and Josh Tweek’s hand in the Louche party, as well as the long running System.
