Hide&Seek Festival drop initial names for 2020 event

Without doubt one of the success stories of 2019’s UK festival scene was that of Hide&Seek debut event. The well-received one-day festival knocked it out of the park with an on-point selection of artists from the worlds of house, techno, disco and of course minimal and it was all set in the lush green grounds of Capesthorne Hall in Macclesfield, Cheshire. Usually, this would mean expansive stages and huge numbers of people but that was not what was intended with this gathering. Sure, there were plenty of people (the event was sold out the month before) but the whole point was to limit the capacity to ensure a much more intimate vibe and it paid off in full.

So, with a truly impressive first event under their belt and the tireless work that the team behind You&Me have put in since Hide&Seek will return to the scene of the crime on Saturday, September 5th and will again be bringing with them some of the most in-demand artists on the planet. This is also not an exaggeration when we say either as the first round of artists is quite something. In alphabetical order performing across the various lakeside, wooded and main stages you can catch in action Apollonia, Detroit Swindle, Gene On EarthIngi Visions, Jeremy UndergroundJosh Baker, Laidlaw, MillerRaresh, Sonja Moonear, Spokenn, Sweely, Tristan Da Cunha, Voigtmas (Voigtmann & John Dimas) and there will also be some special guests making an appearance too. Hard to believe that this is just the first round of artists with more names to come.

As well as a finely curated line-up and well-executed high-level production standards Hide&Seek also values the scene that has given them the vehicle to put on such an event. This support is repaid in kind by in turn providing the various local promoters and artists the chance to shine, time will tell if this is to be a permanent fixture but with this element being such a hit at last year’s event there let’s hope it continues when more information is released in the coming months.
