London party stronghold and vinyl imprint Half Baked return to ADE to join forces with Australian heroes S.A.S.H. for an all-night affair at Amsterdam’s well known spot Club Atelier. Having cemented themselves as an inimitable force in London’s effervescence, the Half Baked crew have shown serious commitment to throwing headsy get-togethers without missing a trick when it comes to curation, production and location. This time round comes as no exception as they collaborate with Sydney-based party force S.A.S.H. Known for their exploits across the globe, the Ozzie crew have hosted events all over Europe and the US, with the same level of commitment and care with regard to lineup and venue curation, it’s no surprise these two decided to come together again for a stellar ADE offering.
No strangers to ADE, they take over Club Atelier, one of Amsterdam’s favoured clubbing spots situated right in the heart of the city for a full-night of cutting edge selections right through to the early morning. Heading off the highly-sought lineup of hotly-tipped selectors, is a b2b set from two Berlin-based legends as tINI shares the decks with Limousine Dream’s Gene On Earth, both veterans in their own right, the culmination of their collections will be sure to pack more than a surprise or two.
Also on-board are hotshot spinners, Margaret Dygas, Voigtmann, Quest & Christian AB. Proceedings will commence with a host of international talents, residents and local heaters warming up the floor, as Half-baked’s Sam Bangura goes b2b with Amsterdam’s own Julian Anthony, after being handed the controls by Australian heads Kerry Wallace and JOSS go toe-to-toe. Mainstay of the sound, veteran producer and DJ, Rick Maia has been called upon to set the tone for this mammoth outing at the new, colourful and multifunctional Club Atelier.
Often we see party crews coming together to offer little more than the norm but this event is truly a case of the sum being greater than the parts, with both promoters working in tandem to deliver a lineup that really speaks for itself, at a venue that provides an optimal setting for the soundtracking it’s set to receive.
Heralding itself as the urban Woodstock, Club Atelier’s manifesto speaks of a creative oasis that encourages art and its evolution in a very natural and positive way. “Where others zig, we dare to zag”, setting themselves apart with this line it will be interesting to see the space continue to grow and develop, knowing they will be at the forefront of Amsterdam’s music and art scene. If you’re in town for ADE, this is definitely something you don’t wanna miss!
