Gottwood holds a special place in the minds of many ravers from over the years.
The Wales festival deliver a unique and consistently excellent curation of music in the stunning grounds of Welsh Carreglywd Estate. Behind two of the UK’s most taste making festivals in this corner of club culture, the minds behind Houghton and Gottwood have been inviting the likes of Zip, Margaret Dygas, Nicolas Lutz and everyone in-between for a long time.
To celebrate their 12th edition, this year will welcome one of Gottwood’s most diverse and intriuging line-ups yet. Everyone from the tastemaking diggers in Margaret Dygas and Tristan Da Cunha to frequent faces such as Move D and Hamish and Toby.
This year will also see a number of interesting back-to-backs that are rarely seen, such as Francesco Del Garda joining forces with Raresh for a rare collaboration. Dan Andrei also links with Giegling’s Edward for an intriuging B2B that is sure to showcase a new palate of sounds to many of the festival’s frequenters.
UK, Berlin-based favourites The Ghost are back in town together with Gene on Earth for an extended session. Outside of the more stripped back realms, there’s also the opportunity to witness loads of inspiring music through the likes of Matthew Jonson’s mesmeric live set, PBR Streetgang and Crazy P Soundsystem.

Gottwood is a place where many collectives, labels and friendships were formed during moments of magic in the woods. We spoke to the founders Tom Carpenter and Digby Neill last year where they revisit ten of their favourite moments since the festival’s first days back in 2010.
