French festival Nostromo unveil a 120 artist lineup for their September edition

Following their recent successful July OFF-festival edition, Nostromo have announced an even bigger festival in September, spanning four days across 16th-20th.

The French collective is no stranger to throwing memorable parties. Over the last four years, their event curation has been central to France’s growing scene. Regularly inviting deep digging DJ’s to spontaneous events, often in secret locations, with supreme sound systems.

Past bookings have covered the likes of Jane Fitz, Slow Life and an all-night-long set from Francesco Del Garda; showcasing an appetite for the contemporary scene centred around vinyl, and extended DJ sets.

The same happened with the most recent edition, where Sweely, Binh, Hamish & Toby and the above mentioned Francesco Del Garda, Jane Fitz and Slow Life all span records between the forest and the castle stage, alongside an impressive amount of local talents.

It’s evident the crew’s priorities stem from a passion for dance music. Providing artists with both excellent sound conditions, and the length of time to express themselves, news of a September edition comes with great anticipation.

Similar to what happened in July, the festival will be held one hour out of Paris, located in the stunning castle grounds of Château De Motteux, a structure from the 16th century. Granted with a sacred 24-hour license, music runs from Thursday to Monday without any break.

This time, Nostromo crew will be welcoming over 120 artists, spread across 5 stages: all genres of the musical spectrum will be present, from house to minimal, from techno to even harder techno, and including ambient, downtempo, experimental.

Several artists from the collectives’ previous events return to the September line-up, without forgetting an impressive array of local talent soon to be announced.

Things will kick-off with an opening concert which will also mark ATOM TM’s only gig in Europe for this year (as of now), plus OCB aka Driss Beniss LIVE and Carl Finlow LIVE.
Further plans include showcases from Uruguay own Phonoteque, a stage hosted by Dure Vie with Octave One as special guest, Rinse stage with Francois X and Bjarki live, and the bubbling Cartulis + Lumbago stage with Binh as headliner. E/Tape and Masomenos aka studio HC will lead Experiment Intrinsic stage.

Sunday closing promises to be among the highlights with one stage given to Francesco del Garda (which closed the July edition in style with 11 and more hours until late morning), plus Raresh & Zip on another stage.

Given the care given to artist curation, stunning natural settings, and long sets from prolific DJs, many magic moments can be expected over the weekend. Camping is free over the four days, with the option to upgrade to a number of premium tipi tents ready to go on site.

Multiple activities are planned including a wellness centre, food, meditation, yoga and everything needed to reconnect with yourself

Conscious of the ecological impact of such events, the festival has multiple eco measures in place. Implementing a do-it-yourself, eco-conception of stages, upcycling cigarette buts and a no plastic policy features among their initiatives, as well as receiving carbon compensation through the Goodplanet Foundation.
